Parking
'Parking' is a project which attempts to examine different aspects of parked cars from a minimal view point. Everything from the large expanse of empty parking lots, to the small details of a car which can only be appreciated once the vehicle has stopped. I've found the elements that draw me to minimal photographs: the negative space, the repetition, the simplistic color palettes, are echoed in the everyday parking lot. Furthermore, when vehicles are placed in these minimalistic scapes they often add complimentary elements to the scene. This project aims to look at not only the artistic nature of the parking lot and the car separately, but the additional depth created when the two are combined.
